STATEMENT ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE INFLATION REDUCTION ACT

Casper, Wyoming - Reid Rasner for United States Senate has issued the following statement regarding the anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022:

"Today marks the anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act. Or, as I like to call it the failed agenda of a corrupt and compromised President and his lifelong friends in the United States Senate. The Inflation Reduction Act does exactly the opposite of what the legislation’s title indicates. Rather than lower the cost of goods for consumers and Americans, we have seen prices soar to all-time highs. Our gas bills have nearly tripled, our grocery bills have soared tenfold in many cases, and our utility bills are skyrocketing.

It is because of this piece of legislation in conjunction with failed financial leadership and economic policies from our current elected senior officials; such as the never-ending increase in the debt ceiling- which, my opponent John Barrasso has voted in favor of for nearly two decades. Because of their failed policies Americans and Wyomingites continue to suffer.

Weak men create hard times. It is time to elect new leaders in the United States Senate. The halls of Congress are not a nursing home and our lives and freedoms depend on strong reliable leaders.

Now we are over 32 trillion dollars in debt with no ceiling in sight. Enough is Enough! We have trusted our country, our freedoms, and the best interests of our great state of Wyoming, to a weak man for nearly two decades who has said anything to stay in power and done nothing. For the past two decades, John has stood one step behind and two steps to the left of Mitch McConnell.

In 2024 we have one final opportunity to get things right and take back our country. It is time for the Strong Men and Women of Wyoming to come together and choose strength and leadership or be faced with continued stagnation and suffering."
