REPUBLICAN REID RASNER DEFEND COAL WORKERS AND ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

Mills, Wyoming: Reid Rasner, Republican candidate for the US Senate, is expressing extreme disappointment and frustration with Senator John Barrasso's lack of substantive defense for the principles of energy independence that Former President Trump ardently supported. Wyoming is suffering deeply from the closure of electric plants, shutdowns of coal leasing, and energy bans that severely limit the state's ability to be a robust, independent provider for its people.

Reid is calling on the entire Republican delegation of Wyoming to take immediate action to block the new rules imposed by the Biden Administration that limit coal leasing in the Powder River Basin. Reid emphasizes that Senator Barrasso’s unwillingness to take meaningful action is exactly the opposite of what he would do if elected. Reid would move to block all possible measures and appointments from the Biden Administration until their detrimental assault on energy ends.

Reid stated, “The livelihood of nearly 5,000 people in Wyoming, as of 2022, depends on the coal industry, which has already lost 2,000 jobs in the last 12 years.” He warns that further inaction from Barrasso will exacerbate this decline, threatening the economic stability of the state and putting families at risk. “This must stop”, Reid insists and will continue to demand action.
